A Nigerian mother has spoken out after she was lambasted on TikTok for the way she was raising her underage daughter.

The mom, who is said to be a make-up artist, took to social media to share a video of her daughter looking fully-glammed with makeup, jewelries, and artificial nails.

The child, who was clearly under the age of seven, wore blue traditional attire with a flamboyant head-gear, popularly called gele in Nigeria, in the viral video.

However, the look didn’t sit well with many who called out the child’s mother for dressing her like an adult.

The video, which has gone viral and garnered over two hundred thousand views on TikTok, has received massive criticisms from netizens.

In a follow-up video, the mother has now responded to the backlash she received because of her daughter’s extreme look.

She stated that no one is above making mistakes and that raising a child takes a village, and she would rather that people give constructive criticisms instead of outrightly insulting her.

She also slammed those bashing her daughter’s look, stating that majority of them would like to recreate her look.
