Onimesi Ekiti Strikes At US Navy Confers Title On Victor Agunbiade, Wife.

The Onimesi of Imesi Ekiti in Ayedire Local Govt has installed Lt Victor Agunbiade as the JAGUNMOLU OF IMESI KINGDOM. His wife Mrs Caprice Agunbiade was also installed as the YEYE JAGUNMOLU OF IMESI EKITI.

Lt Victor Agunbiade, of the US Navy, was accorded this recognition by the Onimesi of Imesi for his exemplary honesty, and accountability while serving as Navy Disbursing officer, Comptroller Department, Camp Lemonier Djibouti from Oct 2019 to July 2020, where Lt Victor Agunbiade managed the largest US Navy’s CASH disbursing office; accounting for approximately 70% of the US Navy’s Overseas disbursing Volume.

Caprice Agunbiade, his American wife was excited for this honour, pledging herself and her husband will remain in words and deed, true sons and daughters of Imesi Ekiti.

Engr Ken Onwuliri and Hon Nonso Chimezie were also installed as Otunba AKOREDE of Imesi and Chief ATAYESE of Imesi Ekiti respectively. Engr Ken Onwuliri excited the whole community when he pledged to provide the entire block work required for a new palace for Onimesi of Imesi while
Hon Nonso Chimezie, one time personal Assistant to Retired IG Chief Mike Okiro promised to support the completion of the construction of Imesi Police station, commenced by his former Boss.

The event featured cultural performances of the Ekiti State cultural troupe and the Igbo traditional council.

The Zaki of Arigidi and the Owa Ale of Ikare congratulated the Imesi community for having Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde on the throne. Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde was commanded by the guest Obas for his unique friendly disposition with neighbouring Obas.
