Helicopter Crashes in Lagos

A helicopter which was headed for the Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) has crashed in Lagos, going up in flames.

The aircraft, which has not yet been identified, crashed near the AP Filling Station and United Bank For Africa on Oba Akran.

Witnesses say that the aircraft was flying low when it crashed.

The incident happened around 3.30 pm. As of now, it remains uncertain how many were the occupants of the craft, however, two people believed to be the pilots of the helicopter were rescued.

This publication learnt that the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service are expected to arrive soon to assist in the emergency operation.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
