The Oyo State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has recognised the immediate past leaders of the state administrative council for their contributions to the advancement of the Congress and the welfare of Oyo workers.
The awardees included Comrade Oluwatoyin Ofere, former Ex-officio of the Congress; Comrade Ademola Babalola, former treasurer of the Congress; and Comrade Adedeji Taofik, former vice Chairperson of the Congress.
The Chairman of NLC the state, Comrade Kayode Martins, acknowledged the importance of appreciating the efforts of these comrades in advancing the Congress and ensuring the welfare of Oyo workers.
He emphasised that recognizing their contributions is essential whenever a new set of executives takes charge of the congress.
While speaking on behalf of the awardees, Comrade Oluwatoyin Ofere, expressed gratitude for the recognition and thanked the SAC and SEC of Oyo State NLC.
He affirmed that this recognition will motivate them to continue serving the people whenever opportunities arose.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State NLC’s appreciation of these leaders’ contributions to the Congress and workers’ welfare highlighted the importance of acknowledging the efforts of individuals who have dedicated themselves to advancing the welfare of workers and the labour movement.
