Jehovah’s Witnesses to Hold “Preach the Good News!” Convention in Nigerian Pidgin

Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold a three-day convention titled “Preach the Good News!” from October 18-20, 2024, at the Ifatumo Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses near Lalupon, Iwo-Ibadan Road.


According to the regional spokesman, Gill Adekannbi, the convention is the fifth in a series that began on September 12, 2024. It highlights how individuals, couples, parents, children, and the elderly can find comfort and joy in the good news despite challenging circumstances.


The program, which will be conducted entirely in Nigerian Pidgin, features talks, symposia, drama, videos, and interviews on various aspects of everyday life. Some of the topics to be discussed include “Why We Need Good News?”, “What Will You Do Because of the Good News?”, and “Why We Are Not Afraid of Bad News.”


Delegates and invited members of the public from Osun, Kwara, Ogun, and Oyo states are expected to attend. The convention will be held from 8:20 AM to 3:50 PM on Friday and Saturday, and from 8:20 AM to 2:30 PM on Sunday. There will be a one-hour and 20-minute lunch break each day.
