86th Birthday : Senator Alli felicitates Chief Bisi Akande

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has felicitated with Chief Bisi Akande, a former Governor of Osun State and first National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on the occasion of his 86th birthday.

signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli described Chief Akande as a true Awoist and an exemplary leader who has consistently championed the ideals of good governance as well as democratic values.

“Chief Bisi Akande’s remarkable contributions to the socio-political development of Nigeria, particularly his visionary leadership as Governor of Osun State.

“His pivotal role in the formation and success of the APC, remain a reference point for progressive politics,” he said.

He lauded Chief Akande’s unwavering commitment to the principles of transparency, accountability and selfless service.

The lawmaker said that Chief Akande’s virtues have earned him the respect and admiration of all, both within and outside the political arena.

“As we celebrate Baba Akande’s 86th birthday, I join countless others in thanking God for his life and the indelible legacy he continues to build.

“May Almighty Allah grant him good health, long life, and continued wisdom to serve humanity,” Senator Alli added.
