Nigeria’s Health Sector Attracts Patients from US and UK, Says Federal Government

The Federal Government has announced significant improvements in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, noting that patients from countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom are now seeking medical treatment within Nigeria.

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, highlighted this development during a briefing with State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting on Tuesday, February 4, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“People are now beginning to come from the subregion, and even from faraway places like the UK and the US, to receive quality healthcare in Nigeria,” Pate stated. He emphasized that despite existing challenges, notable progress is evident, reflecting the transformative agenda promised by President Bola Tinubu.

This shift indicates a growing confidence in Nigeria’s medical services, suggesting that the nation’s healthcare improvements are gaining international recognition.
