Every time I fight my wife, something bad happens to my business” – Davido speaks on Chioma’s special grace.

Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido has credited his wife, Chioma Rowland, for being behind his success story.

In an interview on the Breakfast Club podcast, Davido revealed that anytime he fights with Chioma, his business suffers. He noted that Chioma is aware of the special grace she carries and uses it against him.

Elsewhere in the interview, he praised Chioma for being a good stepmom. He noted how there were times he was scared to bring his kids around her, but now she has grown.

Davido recalled a touching moment between Chioma and his daughter, Hailey, which melted his heart.

The singer also revealed that he and Chioma were together for 11 years before they finally got married.

“My wife has always had things over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you are fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me. My kids love her, especially my daughter. There were times when I was scared to bring my kids around her, but there has been some growth.

Before we got married, we were together for 11 years. We met in school, and she went from being my girlfriend to my wife. I was 18, and she was 17. We finished school together. “

Also, in the interview, Davido had vowed never to cheat again. He noted how he went through ordeals with his philandering ways and, as such, has turned a new leaf.

The father of five also revealed that he and Chioma will hold their white wedding in August in Miami, United States. He also spoke about his twins and revealed that his son looks exactly like his late brother, Ifeanyi, and they act similarly.

In June, last year, Davido shut down Lagos for his traditional wedding to Chioma. As expected, celebrities from the entertainment industry, dignitaries, public figures and important personalities from different sectors of the economy all graced the occasion. From Governors to Monarchs, Senators, billionaires, politicians and celebrities, all were present at the occasion, making it a memorable one.

While paying respect to Chioma’s parents, Davido had listed out his plans for his wife. He declared that it was a lifetime assurance for her as he promised to protect her, respect her and connect her.

There is no doubt that Davido and Chioma’s marriage has stood the test of time. From the death of their son to Davido’s several cheating scandals, this couple keeps waxing stronger.

The couple are now blessed with twins, who they welcomed the same month their first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke died..
