Global Excellence Summit & Awards 2025 Unveiled in Lagos

The Global Excellence Summit & Awards (GESA) 2025 was formally unveiled today in Lagos at a prestigious press conference that attracted high-level dignitaries, members of the diplomatic community, government officials, business moguls, and key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors.

Scheduled to hold on May 23rd and 24th, 2025, at the renowned Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, the two-day event promises to be a landmark gathering spotlighting diplomacy, leadership, innovation, and investment potential across Africa and its global diaspora.

GESA 2025 is being organized in strategic partnership with the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, the International Society of Diplomats, the African Chapter of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC AFRICA), and the Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Inc.

Speaking at the official unveiling, the Convener, Ambassador Dr. Fatoumatta Gaye, described the summit as “a celebration of excellence and a platform to foster collaboration, continental advancement, and impactful partnerships across diplomacy, business, and governance.”

With the theme “Global Excellence in Diplomacy & Leadership: Africa’s Path to Prosperity,” GESA 2025 is expected to host a stellar lineup of speakers and award recipients, including:

Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu, Senate Spokesperson and Chair, Senate Committee on Youths & Community Engagement

Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, Representing Delta North

Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labour & Employment

Justice Mainasara Ibrahim Kogo Umar, Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal

H.E. George Muhali Imbuwa, Zambian High Commissioner to Nigeria

H.E. Mohamadou Musa Njie, Gambian High Commissioner to Nigeria
