A distinguished recognition awaits Nigeria and the African continent as Ambassador Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, Global President of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has been selected for special honors at Kenya’s forthcoming Mashujaa Day celebration.
The event, scheduled for October 20, 2025, is one of Kenya’s most significant national holidays, dedicated to honoring men and women whose courage, leadership, and contributions have positively impacted humanity. This year, Ambassador Ojadah will be honored as a Hero in Peace Making for his outstanding commitment to promoting peace, good governance, and sustainable development across Africa and beyond.
Ambassador Ojadah’s decades-long service in peace diplomacy has seen him spearhead initiatives aimed at fostering unity, strengthening democratic governance, and encouraging cross-border collaboration among nations. His leadership within the UNIPGC has been widely commended for championing global harmony and conflict resolution.
According to the event’s organizers, Ambassador Ojadah will arrive in Nairobi on October 17, 2025, ahead of the main ceremony in Kitui County on October 18, 2025. The prestigious celebration will be attended by the President of Kenya, top government officials, diplomats, and global peace advocates.
The recognition follows an official invitation from the National Heroes Council of Kenya, chaired by Hon. Angwenyi Jimmy Nuru Ondieki, MGW, who praised Ambassador Ojadah’s unwavering dedication to continental peacebuilding. Dr. Charles O. Wambia, OGW, CoP CEO/Director, also lauded the diplomat, describing him as “a true embodiment of purposeful leadership who models peace as a way of life.”
For Ambassador Ojadah, this honor represents more than personal acclaim—it reinforces his lifelong conviction that peace is the highest form of leadership. His vision continues to inspire a generation of Africans committed to building just, united, and progressive societies.
As the continent celebrates this milestone, Ambassador Jonathan Ojadah’s recognition at Kenya’s Mashujaa Day stands as a powerful reminder that one individual’s pursuit of peace can illuminate the path to a better, more united Africa.
