Nollywood star Mide Martins is overflowing with joy as she celebrates becoming a proud grandmother once again. The actress took to Instagram to share her excitement following the birth of her goddaughter Yetunde Barnabas’s second child.
Earlier, the light-skinned actress Yetunde Barnabas announced the arrival of her baby boy, sharing adorable photos with her husband and their newborn son. She described the birth as a “miracle” and expressed deep gratitude for the blessing.
Reacting to the news, Mide Martins penned a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing her happiness and offering prayers for her goddaughter’s family.
“Congratulations to me and my family as we welcome a new bundle of love and joy into our beautiful family. Thank you, Lord, for this special addition to my home. Congratulations, my dear @yetundebarnabas, on the arrival of your jewel of inestimable value. I am extremely happy right now—my heart is filled with so much happiness. I can’t stop singing and dancing! May your joy be permanent in Jesus’ name,” she wrote.
Mide and her husband, Afeez Owo, share a close relationship with Yetunde Barnabas, frequently collaborating with her in Yoruba film productions. Their bond extends beyond work—when Yetunde married her footballer husband in 2021, Mide and Afeez played significant roles at the ceremony, proudly referring to themselves as Baba and Mama Iyawo while offering prayers for the new couple.
When Yetunde welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in July 2022, Mide joyfully declared herself a grandmother for the first time. Since then, the veteran actress has continued to celebrate her goddaughter’s milestones, often expressing affection and pride on social media.
In April this year, Yetunde dismissed rumours of expecting another child, urging fans to focus instead on her new movie. Just two months later, in June, she and her husband marked their fourth wedding anniversary, celebrating their love and strong bond with heartwarming family photos.
Now, with the arrival of their second child, the family’s joy has multiplied—bringing happiness not only to Yetunde and her husband but also to their extended Nollywood family
