Dayo Amusa Celebrates Son’s First Birthday: ‘Thank You for Letting Me Be Your Mom’”

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa is celebrating a major milestone as her son, Oluwafirewamiri, marks his first birthday today, November 18, 2025.

The proud mother took to her Instagram page to share stylish photos of her little boy, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the joy of motherhood.

She wrote:
“Happy Birthday OLUWAFIREWAMIRI @babyolufire.
Thank you for the opportunity to be called your mom.”
Birthday wishes also poured in from her colleagues.
Actress Tayo Sindodo enthused, “Can your baby ever?”
Glitters Touch Makeovers added, “My baby okomi. My handsome son, love you.”
Veteran actress Toyin Adewale wrote, “Happy birthday, precious one. Long life and prosperity, IJN.”

Ahead of the big day, Dayo had shared adorable photos of her son dressed in traditional Igbo attire, affectionately calling him Mazi Odogwu Fire.

It was recalls that Dayo welcomed her son last November, describing his arrival as her “treasure” and expressing deep gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood. In June, she celebrated his 7-month milestone, calling him her “rainbow after the storm” while revealing some of his first words and new activities. She also marked his 6-month celebration, reflecting on how quickly time passes and expressing pride shared with his father.

During the naming ceremony, many fans noticed the absence of the child’s father, with actor Damola Olatunji stepping in to represent him—an observation that sparked conversation online. Responding to critics, Dayo questioned why her choice concerned anyone, asking if their own husbands were missing.

In December, days before Christmas, the actress shared a moving testimony about her journey to motherhood, revealing she had suffered three miscarriages. She recounted how her ex-husband abandoned her amid her infertility challenges and went on to impregnate another woman.

Earlier in February, Dayo opened up further about her emotional struggles, explaining how she once broke down in front of her domestic staff, crying out to God after undergoing numerous medical tests and surgeries in her quest to become a mother.
