Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has spoken publicly for the first time about the collapse of her marriage to MC Fish, expressing gratitude to God and to supporters who have shown her love through the difficult period.
In a message shared on Instagram, Anita noted that despite everything she has been through, she remains strong and thankful. She hinted that she will reveal the full details of her experience when she is ready.
She wrote:
“And the Lord did not forsake me… I want to thank everyone who has shown me love in one way or the other. Thank you, God will not leave you. Mother Hen is doing well. I will tell my story when I deem fit. Shalom!”
Her statement comes days after filmmaker Stanley Ontop alleged that MC Fish had left the actress for another woman, claims that sparked a wave of reactions online. Sources close to the couple also alleged that their five-year marriage had suffered deep emotional and personal struggles, including reports that Anita lost two pregnancies—a stillbirth and a miscarriage—and endured domestic violence linked to temper issues and alleged substance abuse.
Following the reports, Anita posted new photos of herself, describing her scars as “a shield,” suggesting she is healing and reclaiming her strength.
The couple, who once showcased a strong bond publicly, had celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last year, often affirming their love despite critics who predicted their union wouldn’t last. Their relationship had appeared affectionate, with MC Fish gifting Anita a white Range Rover for her birthday in January, and Anita celebrating him repeatedly as a supportive and intentional partner.
