Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre Shines as She Earns PhD in International Relations from Lead City University

At the 28th Convocation Ceremony of Lead City University, Ibadan, a moment of pride unfolded as Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre received her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Relations, marking the completion of an inspiring and disciplined academic journey.

Temiloluwa’s pursuit of excellence began at Pacesetters Nursery and Primary School, Ibadan, where her intelligence and calm leadership qualities set her apart early. She later attended Our Lady and St. Francis Catholic College, Osogbo, a school known for strong academics and moral grounding, before proceeding to Bowen University, Iwo. There, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and gained recognition as the “Most Sought-After Lady of Grace,” highlighting her intellect, poise, and emotional maturity.

Motivated by a passion for global affairs, Temiloluwa advanced to Lead City University for her Master’s degree in International Relations. Determined to expand her expertise, she transitioned directly into the PhD programme—an academic journey that culminated in yesterday’s celebration as she officially became Dr. Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre.

Her achievements reflect the rich academic background of her parents. Her mother, Mrs. Moyo Ojo-Lanre, a veteran school principal, holds degrees in Education from Adeyemi University of Education and the University of Ibadan. Her father, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, is a distinguished journalist, cultural diplomat, tourism promoter, and lawyer with multiple academic qualifications. Together, they helped shape Temiloluwa’s discipline, intellectual depth, and commitment to excellence.

Friends, colleagues, and mentors describe her as exceptional—responsible, diligent, culturally grounded, and intellectually gifted. Her research interest in cultural diplomacy, soft-power dynamics, and global peace studies positions her among the emerging thinkers capable of shaping Nigeria’s engagement in international affairs.

Temiloluwa’s success stands as a powerful testament to perseverance, value-driven upbringing, and academic focus. At a time when Nigeria needs well-educated, globally aware young professionals, her story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration.

As she proudly stepped forward to receive her doctorate, it became evident that Nigeria has gained a new intellectual asset, Ekiti State a vibrant cultural ambassador, and the Ojo-Lanre family another remarkable achievement to celebrate.

Congratulations to Dr. Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre — a brilliant young scholar whose journey of excellence is only just beginning.
