“I thought I would be crowned Oversabi’s best Dresser” – Mercy Aigbe laments as she misses the premiere of Toyin Abraham’s new movie, gives reasons

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has lamented after missing the premiere of her colleague, Toyin Abraham’s movie.

It was reported in newsline  that Abraham premiered her highly anticipated movie, Oversabi Aunty, at the IMAX Cinema in Lagos.

Mercy Aigbe, who had bragged about winning the Best Dressed at the premiere, was unable to attend the event.

Taking to her Instagram page to lament, she expressed sadness at missing the golden opportunity, revealing that she had been on set until 11 pm. Aigbe said the clothes for the premiere were at her house.
“11 PM still on Set, filming in one bush.
Cloth and Gele, Dey house.
Me that I thought I would be crowned Oversabi Dresser tonight”.

Toyin Adewale commenting wrote, “Eyah, pele Agbeke. Ise Tiata nawah

Idia Aisen wrote, “I’m sorry for laughing
Susan Peters wrote, Ha! Pele

One Charles born wrote, “The way I laughed

One eriataestheromotayo wrote, “Ahhh. Sorry, mama, and we’re here expecting your outfit for Oversabi Aunty”.

A week ago, Mercy had called out Toyin for excluding her from the grand invitation to her movie premiere. She made it known that a fight was about to start between them, and nobody should beg her. Aigbe told her to do the needful and noted how Abraham had her location address.

Aigbe had affirmed her love for Toyin, describing her as her sister from another mother and appreciating her for being a sweet soul, though annoying at times. Aigbe called Abraham her gist partner, and oversabi aunty and affirmed her love for her.

Back in June, Toyin slammed Aigbe for going over the top in her outfit for another person’s movie premiere and warned her not to overdress at her movie premiere. Responding to her, Aigbe informed her that she was bringing her A-game to the premiere as she would slay harder.

In May, when Aigbe had won the Best Supporting Actress at AMVCA, Toyin congratulated her on her win as she stated that the movie star deserved it. Abraham noted how Mercy killed her role in the movie.

Toyin was no doubt reciprocating the love Mercy showed her last year. Kemi Filani reported that when Toyin’s cinema movie, Alakada Bad and Boujee, was ranked the 5th highest-grossing Nollywood release ever, Aigbe expressed how proud she was of her. Mercy said this was only the beginning for Abraham, as she told her to keep excelling.

When Toyin bagged a Trailblazer award from Silverbird TV, Aigbe said Toyin’s win was a testament to her exceptional talent, hard work, and dedication. She noted that Abraham deserves every bit of the recognition and expressed her pride in her.
