Man confused as his 8-year-old daughter begins asking about her mother who left when she was 18-months-old

A father has lament on social media to express his frustration with his 8-year-old daughter asking about her mother, who abandoned her when she was 18 months old.

The single father, identified as @Mthoko90070958, said that the situation is quite challenging for him and that he is unsure of how to handle it because his baby mama doesn’t even consider checking on or visiting her daughter.

According to him, he has resolved not to have anything to do with his child’s mother, but she’s making it difficult for him with her repeated cries to see her mother.

“My baby momma left when our daughter was 18 months old, now she’s 8 years and lately she’s been asking me where her mom was. I really have no idea how to handle this situation coz you can see the lady doesn’t even think of asking or visiting her daughter.

I also told myself that I don’t want anything to do with her, it’s my daughter now that’s making it difficult for me. I think she needs her mom in her life or something”. He wrote on Twitter.

His tweet elicited varying reactions from social media, with many suggesting how he should best handle the situation.

Reacting a Twitter user @RonaldDeBique wrote,

“Yes agreed with you until you said he should look for the mother. He is under no obligation to do so; That woman left them, so she would be the one coming back to ask for their love and forgiveness. Not him and his daughter seeking her out to grant forgiveness!!”
