Rivers Government Seals Atiku’s Campaign Office Over Violation Of Executive Order

The campaign office of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, has been sealed by the state government.

The campaign office was sealed on Friday, December 23, as directed by the state government following a court order.

Governor Nyesom Wike’s media aide, Kelvin Ebiri told newsmen that the campaign office violated an executive order which prohibits the location of campaign offices in residential areas.

The statement read; 

“The Rivers state government approached a court which ordered that the place should be sealed up.

“The Rivers state executive order 22 prohibits the location of a political campaign office in a residential area. It was the court that ordered the place to be sealed up.”
