Abia ,Ekiti States to engage in Inter-State Tourism Collaboration

Honourable Mrs. Onyekachi Atuloma-Loveday Ada, the Executive Director of Abia State Tour, recently met with Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Director General of Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, to discuss the pressing need for inter-state tourism engagement, collaboration, and exchanges. This significant meeting took place during the 10th Wonders of Nigeria Expo held at the National Museum in Onikan, Lagos.

Recognizing the tremendous potential of their respective states in the field of cultural tourism, both tourism leaders expressed a shared commitment to leverage these blessings to foster positive interactive experiences, strengthen economic relationships, and promote unity among states.

Drawing upon the rich cultural heritage and natural attractions abundant in Abia State, Mrs. Atuloma-Loveday Ada highlighted the myriad opportunities for tourists to delve into the state’s vibrant traditions, historical landmarks, and culinary delights. With famous destinations such as the Long Juju of Arochukwu, the National War Museum in Umuahia, and the Arochukwu Caves,The Arochukwu water fall,Azumini Blue River, Amakanma Community Cave (the only Wooden Cave in African about 800 Metres height . Abia State offers a unique blend of cultural experiences.

In response, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre emphasized the magnificence of Ekiti State’s geo- tourism landscape. From the beautiful Arinta Waterfalls to the Wonderful Rock of Abanijorin in Iyin Ekiti , the Ikogosi Warm and Cold Springs, Ekiti State offers visitors an immersive encounter with nature’s wonders alongside an exploration of its indigenous cultural heritage.

The meeting between both esteemed tourism officials provided an opportunity for them to exchange ideas and explore ways to strengthen collaboration between Abia and Ekiti State in the tourism sector.
