Iseyin is in mourning mood as its king, Oba Abdulganiyu Salawudeen, has joined his ancestors, has been informed.
His departure is coming months after the Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Soun of Ogbomoso; Oba Saliu Adetunji, Olubadan of Ibadan; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, joined their ancestors.
The University of Ibadan trained veterinary doctor, who ascended the throne in 2007, was said to have died at the University College Hospital, where he has been for months.
He was aged 62.
While his remains are being parked for onward journey to his town, a less than one hour journey from the state capital, traditionalists have begun passage rites around the ancient town.
