The Ewi of Ado Ekiti Oba Adejugbe Aladesanmi III will on 7th Nov 2022 be on the threshold of history by peacefully invading and setting his feet on the soil of Imesi Ekiti. as the town celebrates Odun Ade Festival.

Oba Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, who has been described as a foremost proactive traditional ruler will be invading Imesi Ekiti to peacefully resolve the 400 years old tiff between Ewi – In- Council and Imesi as a town
This year’s festival which is tagged festival of reconciliation is deliberately tagged so because

  1. The Ewi of Ado Ekiti and the first Ewi to visit Imesi since 400years ago ( or enter Imesi in peacetime ) will be coming to grace the occasion.
    According to Oba Olatunji, arrangements are in top gear to welcome him. The hunters are preparing the traditional booming of guns and war dance to usher in Ewi as a father and harbinger of peace, prosperity and bloom.

The Ewi of Ado Ekiti who would be home to Imesi people during this year’s ODUN ADE festival would be joined by the Onisan of Isan, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon and the Chairman traditional rulers council of Ekiti. The Owa Ajero, Oba Joseph Adewole, the Oluyin of Iyin Oba Adeniyi Ajakaye and numerous Traditional Rulers from far and near will be at Imesi to celebrate Odun Ade with HRM The Onimesi of Imesi, Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde, Olaibiyemi 11.
Barr Dele Falana will be installed as the High Chief Ofoji of Imesi while Elder Martin’s Adeniyi will be Installed as the Osokoti of the Osokoti clan, originally from Akure.
Air Vice Marshal Niyi Ojuawo will be conferred with the prestigious AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. The award enlists the duo into the historical roll of honours of the IMESI MUSEUM OF ROYAL ANTIQUITIES
