How I Got Asake To Feature On ‘Timeless’ –Davido

Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke also known as Davido, has spoken on how he got his colleague, Asake to feature in his new album, ‘Timeless’.

Davido made this known in a viral interview video shared on Friday.

He stated that he has always been a fan of Asake because of his storylines and style, and that he spoke with YBNL boss, Olamide, prior to meeting Asake, who is signed to YBNL Nation.

Davido said, “Shoutout to Asake, I am a very very big fan of him and his story and just the way he just came out and just scattered everywhere and I was just like omo I had to get him on my album because of his style and everything, I just wanted to work with him

“I dm the bossman, Baddo, I didn’t write Asake first o, I went to my brother first, so I cornered him, I wrote ola like Baddo I am doing my album and need Asake on a verse and he said send it nau, I can’t tell you no nau. Who has Asake verse? I am not sure Asake would even give anybody Asake verse

“So I sent the song to Baddo’s WhatsApp I think then Baddo was on tour, Funny enough Asake loves recording when Baddo is there, like presently there, so Asake said he wants Baddo to be there with him when he is Voicing. Baddo is also one of the writers of the song as well.

“Asake sent the verse and it was fire, I said Baddo nice one, so we signed, cleared and delivered”
