I lost control over my wife — Actor Ninalowo.

Popular actor Bolanle Ninalowo has opened up on his past marital struggles and how he overcame them.

The actor in the latest episode of #WithChude, podcast by Chude Jideonwo spoke about the early stage of his marriage and how he failed to provide the needed emotional support for his wife.

Ninalowo said after hurting his wife for a long while, he “lost control over my wife because she outgrew me”.

“I needed to take time back to see what I have done to her. The years when I was feeling too young and cheating all day, breaking her heart and everything to the years when I wasn’t there and pursuing my dreams,” he said.

“But I forgot this was a human being that was taking records and taking experiences of her life as well.

“So, I became somebody that she didn’t recognize anymore. At some point, I couldn’t call her to pick up my call. The woman I had control over, I had no more control because she outgrew me.”

The film star said to regain his wife’s trust, he had to start afresh.

“So to get back I needed to start afresh to detoxify all that I have done. It was a process and I had to go back to the bottom. It’s a process, a lot of people keep failing because they keep jumping from one thing to the other,” he added.
