IGP ORDERS COMPLETE BAN ON SPY NUMBER PLATES NATION WIDE AS OYO COMMAND BEGINS TOTAL ENFORCEMENT

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, psc (+), NPM, fdc has ordered a complete ban on all use of Police SPY Vehicle Number Plates by Vehicle owners to include individuals and groups across the federation including those with legitimate authorization.


” To this end, and in line with the proactive policing style of CP Adebowale Williams psc(+) fdc, the Oyo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public about the immediate enforcement of the directive.

“The CP, while charging Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Departments, Tactical Commanders and other Supervising  officers to ensure total respect for citizen’s right during the exercise has also sued for cooperation from the good citizens of the State as the process begins.

CP Adebowale has marshaled the Command’s X-squad and Monitoring unit to ensure strict compliance to professionalism by enforcement operatives before, during and after the process in line with standard operational procedures.

“He said at the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, citizens are advised to call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund.

“In addition he said the NPF rescue me app is also available for free download on both Android and Apple IOS, for Android and I phone users respectively.
