Iyabo Ojo Offers Emotional Prayers for Daughter Priscilla’s Marriage at Baby Shower in Canada

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, stirred emotions over the weekend as she passionately prayed for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, during a heartfelt baby shower ceremony held in Canada.

The occasion, which followed the recent announcement of Priscilla’s pregnancy with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, saw mother and daughter share a deeply personal moment amid friends and loved ones.

In a viral video capturing the event, Iyabo Ojo, visibly moved to tears, declared powerful words of blessing over Priscilla’s marriage, expressing hope that her daughter would enjoy a peaceful and enduring union—one that would transcend the difficulties she herself faced in marriage.

“Priscilla, your marriage will work. You will grow old with your husband because, in God, you have married right. If mine did not work, yours will. I have paid that sacrifice so yours can flourish,” she said.

The actress also addressed public scrutiny over the lavish nature of her daughter’s wedding, defending her decision as a deliberate move to break generational cycles and ensure a better future for her children.

“I want to encourage many mothers out there. We face so much. People questioned the wedding, asking, ‘Iyabo, why this or that?’ But I made my decision—right or wrong—and I bear that responsibility. I will never withhold blessings from my children because of life’s circumstances,” she asserted.

Iyabo Ojo’s heartfelt remarks have since resonated with many online, drawing praise for her vulnerability, strength, and unwavering support for her daughter during a significant milestone.
