NNPP storms Ogbomoso for consultation with stakeholders

Leaders and the governorship candidate and others contesting various elective officee on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Stormed Ogbomoso on a familiarization tour, where they met members from all the local governments in the zone.

The tour which was led by the leader of the NNPP Alhaji Abdulrasheed Adebisi Olopoeyan and the Governorship candidate of the party, Engineer Joshua Olukayode Popoola witnessed a rousing welcome in all the places visited.

The crowd and the people of the town were elated to see the NNPP team, an indication that the party is accepted in the great ancient city, known to have produced political icons since the first Republic till now.

As a sign of acceptability, market women and men, traders and artisans, and local governments trooped out in their hundreds and showed their delights to partner with the party.

Their turnout, was a big surprise because the NNPP team never expected that it would be such an impressive one.

Addressing the large crowd, of market men and women, traders, and as well artisans in Ogbomoso, the governorship candidate of the NNPP Engineer Popoola said that all segments of the society in Oyo State, would be carried along, In all his programs and activities if elected the governor of the state in 2023.

He said the situation of things would not be like those in the present government, who have failed to fulfill all that they promised the people, saying that the NNPP government would operate an open-door policy that would benefit the entire people of Oyo State.
The Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Alhaja Adesope Medinat, said, that the party and the government of NNPP, would not look down on women, as the party has earmarked a series of empowerment programs, that would benefit them, as well as the youth.

Alhaji Olopoeyan who got a thunderous ovation from the traders and artisans, eulogized the former late governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, who was described as one of the best governors that ever governed Oyo State.

He said the people of Ogbomosho should regard him as the son of the soil because he has been with the people both on political and personal platforms for a long time.

He said that he benefitted greatly from Akala who is from Ogbomosho and that he has always held the people of the town in very high esteem because the city, has always been producing great men and respected politicians, right from the first Republic, when they had the Premier of the Western Region, late Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola.

Alhaji Olopoeyan said he was happy with the turnout that he witnessed, an indication that the people have embraced the NNPP in Ogbomoso
