Oyo state house of assembly has faulted the decision of the leadership of the state security network and Amotekun corps over the recall of all the Amotekun personnel in Iwajowa and Itesiwaju local government to Ibadan.

The lawmaker representing Iwajowa state constituency in the Oyo state house of assembly, honorable Adedibu Hakeem, while reporting the development, explained that the Head of Amotekun in Oyo state recalled the personal to Ibadan on the excuse that the corps failed to report the latest bandits attack in their area of responsibility.

Recall that a 70-year-old farmer and a vigilante member in Itasa community in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr. Amodu Abubakar was attacked by suspected Fulani bandits, who descended on him with axe and machete and cut off his hands at the weekend.

While ruling on the matter of urgent public importance, the speaker, Oyo state house of assembly, Rt. honorable Debo Ogundoyin said he will consult with the house committee on security matters, meet with the heads of the Amotekun security outfit in the state and ensure the personnel return to their duty posts soonest.
