Relationship expert stresses importance of friendliness

A relationship expert, Alhaji Abiola Ogunbanwo, has stressed the importance of friendliness in building and maintaining healthy relationships. 

He noted that being friendly can help to create a positive atmosphere in any relationship, whether it is a friendship, a romantic relationship, or a professional relationship. 

Alhaji Ogunbanwo gave the explanation, while speaking as a guest speaker during the maiden inauguration and fundraising of Circle of old friends, held at the Oyo State Senior Civil Service Club, Total Garden, Ibadan.

According to him, friendly people are often seen as approachable, easy to talk to, and enjoyable to be around, adding that friendliness can build trust and create a sense of mutual respect, which are essential for any successful relationship. 

He encouraged people to make an effort to be friendly and welcoming to others, as this can have a significant impact on their relationships.

“There are a number of ways to be friendly and approachable, including smiling, maintaining eye contact, and using open body language. In addition, it is important to be a good listener, as this shows that you are interested in what the other person has to say. Being friendly also means being willing to offer help when needed and being considerate of others’ feelings.”

“Finally, the expert noted that genuine friendliness is not about being fake or insincere, but rather about genuinely caring for and being interested in others.The expert noted that there are a number of ways to be friendly and approachable, including smiling, maintaining eye contact, and using open body language.”

“In addition, it is important to be a good listener, as this shows that you are interested in what the other person has to say. Being friendly also means being willing to offer help when needed and being considerate of others’ feelings.”

Highlights of the event featured the investiture of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbudulRasheed Adewale Akanbi as the Patron of the club, while Chief Mrs Oluyemisi Adeaga and Chief Mrs Linda Aisha Oladapo were made the Matrons and High Chief Lateef Oluwole Oladapo was the major Donor.
