Two arrested for stealing water tanks in Enugu

Men of the Enugu State police command have arrested two suspects identified as Chiegeonu Eze aged 22 and Obinna Ezeugwu aged 23, who allegedly specializes in stealing water tanks in Amube-Ohum in Orba community of Udenu Local Government Area.
 
The duo who steal the tanks from building construction sites in the community, were arrested on April 23, while attempting to steal two tanks from a site on the said date. The two (2) tanks and seven (7) others were recovered from them, while their confessional statements led to the further recovery of seventeen (17) others from one of their receivers of the stolen tanks, who is at large.
 
 Confirming their arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said the owners of the tanks have been identifying them, while upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspects were arraigned in court and accordingly remanded to Nsukka Custodial Centre for further hearing.
