The popular saying “police is your friend “has always cracked me up anytime I hear it because it usually seems like a joke of the highest order to me until yesterday when some Nigerian police demonstrated the true meaning of that saying to me in an unexpected way.

“I was on a trip along Iseyin-Ibadan highway when I had a flat tyre and I quickly tried changing the tyre but unfortunately, my jack got spoilt in the process and I started flagging many motorists passing by for help but none of them stopped which is quite understandable due to the securitysituationof our Country”

“I was almost loosing hope when some officers from Dugbe police station came along and rescued the situation by helping in removing the flat tire and fixed the spare tyre.”

Immediately the tyre was fixed, I tried compensating these good samaritans police with a sum of three Thousand Naira(#3000) but “they rejected it saying they were only doing their jobs”.

On this note, I hereby appreciate Officer Tunmise, Officer Daudu and Officer Michael of Dugbe police station, Ibadan for their kind gestures towards me yesterday and pray that God will bless them for their kindness🙏
