Children’s Day: Omolola Alamu, new Oyo NAWOJ Chairperson pledges to prioritize children, women issues

Omolola Alamu, the newly elected Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State chapter, has felicitates with children on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day celebration, held on May 27.

In a statement, Omolola Alamu praised the resilience and creativity of children, describing them as the future leaders and change-makers of our society.

She emphasized the importance of nurturing and supporting their growth, education and well-being, saying, “Children are the foundation of our future and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they have access to quality education, healthcare and a safe and loving environment to thrive.”

Omolola Alamu also acknowledged the challenges faced by many children, including poverty, discrimination and violence and called on government, civil society and individuals to work together to address these issues and create a more inclusive and equitable society for all children.

She concluded by wishing children a happy and joyful celebration, saying, “May this day bring you happiness, love, and inspiration to reach your full potential. Remember, you are the future, and we believe in you!”

As the new Chairperson of NAWOJ Oyo State, Omolola Alamu has pledged to prioritize issues affecting children and women and to use her platform to amplify their voices and advocate for their rights
