”I am heartbroken,” Peller groans over Jagaban’s death

A former member of the House of Representatives and the Ayedero of Yorubaland, Honourabe Shina Peller, has described the demise of his friend and colleague at the ninth Assembly, Honourabe Olaide Akinkermi Jagaban, as a very disheartening incident that has left a hole in his heart.

Honourable Peller stated this in a heartfelt condolences shared on his social media and with journalists on Friday, where he described the late House of Representative member as not just a colleague, but a loving brother and friend.

Reflecting on their friendship, Peller reminisced about the bond they both shared, countless hours spent together and the camaraderie that defined their cordial relationship.

Also, Honourabe Peller highlighted Honourabe Akinremi’s unwavering commitment to service, dedication to the betterment of his constituency, passion for advocating for the marginalized, advocacy for social justice and exemplary leadership as some of the attributes that endeared the late federal lawmaker to all.

The statement read in full:

“I am heartbroken about the tragic loss of my dear friend, brother and colleague at the ninth National Assembly, Hon. Prince Olaide Adewale Akinremi popularly known as Jagaban who passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 51.

“Jagaban wasn’t just a colleague to me, but a very loving friend whose presence will be sorely missed in his constituency, Oyo State and the National Assembly.

“I vividly remember our special bond, the countless hours we spent together, and the incredible moments we shared. His passing has left a gaping hole in my heart, but his legacy and our cherished memories will forever be etched in my mind.

“Hon. Akinremi Jagaban’s unwavering commitment to service, dedication to the betterment of his constituency and Nigeria at large, passion for advocating for the marginalized, his advocacy for social justice, and his exemplary leadership were some of the attributes that endeared him to all.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and constituents of Honourabe Jagaban. May his soul rest in peace, his legacy endure, and his spirit guide those left behind. Amen!
