Sheikh Agbotomokekere @ 90: Senator Alli praises spiritual, moral leadership

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has congratulated the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, on the joyous occasion of his 90th birthday.

This is contained in a statement signed by his Media office and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli lauded the Chief Imam as a spiritual beacon, describing him as a revered symbol of peace and wisdom in the society.

The lawmaker extolled the Chief Imam’s lifetime of commitment to Islamic propagation, interfaith harmony and moral leadership.

He said that the nonagenarian cleric has remained a unifying figure in Ibadanland and beyond.

Senator Alli said that Sheikh Agbotomokekere’s tireless service to the Muslim ummah and the larger society was a reflection of his deep faith, humility and compassion.

The lawmaker said that the Chief Imam’s teachings and exemplary life continue to inspire generations.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the esteemed cleric sound health, long life and continued wisdom to guide the faithful and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ibadanland as well as Nigeria.

Senator Alli urged Muslim faithfuls and all Ibadan indigenes to continue to draw from the vast fountain of knowledge, spirituality and guidance of the Chief Imam.

He described Sheikh Agbotomokekere’s 90th birthday as a remarkable milestone worthy of celebration and gratitude.
