Akinyele Celebrates Cultural Triumph as Council Chairman Hon. Akinwole Akinleye Honours CCII 2025 Orekelewa Winner, Ayorinde Oluwaseyi

The Akinyele Local Government Area was filled with jubilation as residents celebrated a remarkable cultural milestone: the emergence of one of their own, Ayorinde Oluwaseyi Phoebe, as the winner of the 2025 CCII Orekelewa Brain and Beauty Pageant. The event, a key highlight of the Ibadan Cultural Festival Week, was organised by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).

To commemorate this proud achievement, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, warmly received Ayorinde and another outstanding contestant, Adeniji Adeola Racheal, who placed fifth in the competition. The reception took place at the council secretariat in Moniya, Ibadan, where the chairman commended their brilliant performances on behalf of the entire community.

Describing Ayorinde’s victory as a reflection of the exceptional talent and promise within Akinyele LG, Hon. Akinleye praised her intelligence, poise, and charisma. “This win is not just a personal triumph for Ayorinde; it is a victory for all of us. She has brought honour to Akinyele and serves as a beacon of inspiration to other young people,” he said.

He also extended his commendation to Adeniji Adeola Racheal for her resilience and grace throughout the competition, noting that her performance further exemplified the depth of potential within the local government. “We celebrate not just the crown, but the courage and excellence of every participant. Adeola has equally made us proud,” he added.

The Orekelewa Brain and Beauty Pageant stands out for its unique blend of cultural promotion, beauty, and intellectual engagement, with a strong emphasis on community values and heritage. This year’s edition brought together brilliant young women from across Ibadanland, each showcasing their talents and cultural understanding.

Hon. Akinleye underscored the significance of such platforms in nurturing future leaders and preserving cultural identity. He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to youth development, adding that Akinyele would continue to support initiatives that foster growth, creativity, and civic pride.

As the celebrations unfolded, community members expressed immense pride and optimism. The event not only brought Akinyele into the cultural spotlight but also served as a powerful reminder of the impact of effective leadership and community engagement.

With trailblazers like Ayorinde Oluwaseyi at the forefront, Akinyele Local Government under Hon. Akinwole Akinleye’s leadership is charting a new course—one marked by empowerment, excellence, and cultural pride. Residents are hopeful that more homegrown talents will rise and that this historic achievement will inspire similar feats across other local governments in Oyo State.
