Tears as Nollywood Actress Peju Ogunmola Loses 24-Year-Old Son

It is a season of grief for veteran Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, following the painful loss of her only child.

The tragic news was announced by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi on his Instagram page, where he revealed that the deceased was 24 years old. He described the development as heartbreaking and deeply saddening

This unfortunate incident adds to the series of child loss stories that have shaken the Nigerian entertainment industry in recent years.

Last year, actor Francis Duru mourned the death of his son, Ifeanyi, whom he described as a lion who fought bravely for his life. In the same year, comedian Aphrican Ace and his wife lost their newborn, who passed away just a day after birth. Despite being hopeful about his recovery, the baby, born prematurely at 26 weeks, sadly did not survive.

Also in 2023, skit maker Olagunju Solomon Olamide, popularly known as Akika, revealed that he lost his son on Father’s Day, a devastating blow he shared with fans on social media.

The entertainment community has since been thrown into mourning yet again, as colleagues and fans continue to console Peju Ogunmola over her irreparable loss.
