TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE  10 ABDUCTED NECO CANDIDATES IN BORNO, INTENSIFY SEARCH FOR REMAINING VICTIM

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI  have rescued ten National Examinations Council NECO candidates and teachers abducted during an ISWAP attack on Lassa Community in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.

Operation HADIN KAI, Maiduguri Captain Mohamed Goni says,

the attack, which occured around 9:00 a.m on Monday, 29 June 2026, targeted the Technical Secondary School  students who were writing exams.

Details of the operation indicates that  troops with support from the air platforms overhead providing guidance, made contact around DAGGU ,after a firefight, ten victims were rescued unharmed,while efforts  ongoing to rescue the remaining victim, seven motorcycles were also recovered from the criminals significantly disrupting their escape.

A soldier and a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force paid the supreme sacrifice during the intense exchange of fire with the terrorists.
