Saratu Jibo, a 37-year-old Nigerian aviation professional who was reported missing by her family after landing in Doha, Qatar, has been successfully located alive at a local medical facility.
The traveler, who previously spent nearly 12 years working at the Lagos airport, had boarded a Qatar Airways flight (QR1408) to relocate for a new job opportunity [v]. Anxiety mounted when she collected her baggage, exited the terminal gate, and completely dropped off the grid, failing to connect with her pre-arranged airport transit driver.
Her brother, Jonathan Jibo, broke the positive update via X on Sunday, September 6, 2026, explaining that a sudden medical emergency right after arrival forced airport authorities to rush her to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
“Good news… My sister has been found today, she was sick and was taken to the hospital from the airport,” Jonathan stated, bringing a sigh of relief to family and social media users who had amplified the search.
