Yul Edochie slams Nigerian youths participating in Shettima Dressing Challenge

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has berated some Nigerian youths for recreating the outfit worn by the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashima Shettima, to the Nigeria Bar Association Conference in Lagos State.

Shettima was representing the APC presidential flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, at the 62nd Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) conference that was held on Monday, August 22, in Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos state.

The 55-year-old was dressed in a suit and tie, accompanied by a pair of gym shoes, which has elicited reactions from social media users.
His choice of outfit stirred different reactions on social media and some netizens decided to recreate the outfit and shared the pictures online.

Reacting to this, Yul Edochie took to Twitter to tackle Nigerian youths for always focusing on trivial things, instead of important issues.

He said the youths have misplaced priorities and would never use their platform to talk about weighty issues.

He wrote,

“Nigerians & misplaced priorities. They’ll never trend important issues, only frivolities. Who cares about Shettima’s dressing?

“If the next President of Nigeria can fix the country, secure it and make Nigeria work. He can be wearing only boxers and a singlet to work. Who cares?

“Now I’m seeing Shettima challenge everywhere.
People wearing suit & sneakers.
Nigerian youths.
Trivialities all the time.
Why can’t you do Peter Obi challenge?
Challenge yourselves to be educated like Peter, to speak and be intelligent like Peter.
Una no go see that one do.”
