Nigerian police arrests man who lures ladies to hotels with a promise to get them a job and then rapes them

The suspect usually disguise himself as a staff of Government House, Yenagoa and lured his victims with the promise of job opportunities…


Operatives of SWAT Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested one Joseph Godfrey, 50, for allegedly luring unsuspecting female job-seekers to hotels and sexually assaulting them.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Asinim Butswat, the suspect usually disguise himself as a staff of Government House, Yenagoa and lured his victims with the promise of job opportunities and employment.

Butswat stated that the suspect ran out of luck on 10th October 2022 at about 1300 hours, when one of the girls raised alarm and he was arrested at Opolo, Yenagoa.

He said the suspect is being interrogated by Police operatives while investigation is ongoing.
