NDLEA Arrests Blind Man, Leper For Drug Possession

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a blind grandfather and a leper for drug related offences.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Agency, the blind grandpa, Aliyu Adebiyi, was found in possession of 234 kilograms of cannabis at Sokoto village, Owena Ijesa, Atakumosa East LGA.

In his statement, Adebiyi said a drug dealer kept the drugs in his house for a fee of ₦6,000 per month and paid for three months upfront.

For the leper, Haruna Abdullahi, the agency claimed the suspect was notorious for drug dealing.

Abdullahi was arrested at Garko town, Kano State on Thursday while 2.2kgs of cannabis and various quantities of Diazepam and Exol were recovered from him.
