Crime:Kano TikTok star, Murja Kunya arrested while booking hotel rooms for her birthday party guests

A Nigerian TikTok star, identified as Murja Ibrahim Kuya, has been arrested by Operatives of the Kano State Police Command.

Kunya was picked up by the police while she was trying to book hotel rooms for guests who came from distant places to attend her much-publicized birthday bash, Daily Nigerian reports

The TikTok skit maker was reportedly arrested for using vulgar words in her videos, and by implication corrupting the morals of people in the society.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest, said the State Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Dauda, has ordered that she undergoes psychiatric evaluation.

Murja’s arrest comes after a Shari’ah Court in Bichi petitioned the state commissioner of police to arrest and investigate her and other TikTok users.
