Oyo INEC Charge Voters On Free And Fair Election On Poling Unit Status

The Oyo State resident electoral commissioner, Dr. Adeniran Tella affirmed his commitment to ensuring a free and fair election during the forthcoming general elections.

He said this while addressing the journalist at the Agodi state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission at Agodi, Ibadan.

While advising the people of Oyo State to participate actively and exercise their franchise in the coming elections, he also spoke on the decongestion of some point units to less populated polling units for ease of voting exercise. While regretting the inconvenience, he advised the affected eligible voters to check their new status ahead of the presidential election that is scheduled for the 25th of February 2023.

Dr. Tella, in his address, sought the support of the media toward the success of the general elections, given the importance of the media in informing, and educating the electorates on the essence of active citizen engagement.
