Ashabi Fires Back at Portable: “I Don’t Like Drama, But I Won’t Stay Silent Anymore”

Nollywood actress and mother of one of Portable’s children, Ashabi, has finally broken her silence following public accusations made by the controversial singer.

Earlier, Portable took to social media to accuse Ashabi of attempting to create conflict in his marriage by allegedly influencing his wife, Bewaji, with negative stories about him. In a heated video, the singer accused Ashabi of clout-chasing and bringing tension into his home.

“This is why I drag you online,” he said. “You’re dragging me into my home. You’ve brought my wife close and you’re poisoning her mind against me. But my wife still loves me back—una dey vex.”

In what appears to be a direct response, Ashabi posted a video of her own, expressing her frustration and vowing not to remain silent.

“As much as I’m a filmmaker and I do drama, I don’t like drama in real life,” she said. “I’ve kept quiet out of respect for myself, but I’ve heard enough. Is this how I’ll continue—until I die? I don’t like dragging or online fights, but I can’t take it anymore.”

This isn’t the first time the street-hop artist has accused Ashabi of meddling in his marriage. In March, Portable publicly criticized her reaction to his trip to London with Bewaji, stating that Ashabi was constantly competing with his wife, whom he described as peaceful. He also claimed she stirred conflicts whenever she interacted with Bewaji, going as far as threatening to impregnate one of her friends.

Their relationship, which went public in 2022, has been rocky despite Ashabi’s continued show of affection for Portable. In April, she congratulated him after he purchased a Ford F-150, praying for more blessings. She also celebrated his release from police custody by sharing a romantic video and thanking God for his freedom.

Earlier in the year, during Portable’s arrest in Ogun State on multiple charges including attempted murder and breach of public peace, Ashabi shared an emotional video of herself in tears, pleading for divine intervention.

On Portable’s birthday in March, both Ashabi and Bewaji showered him with love online, calling him their favorite person and praying for him. Ashabi even organized a special birthday surprise with a lavish meal.

While Portable continues to express mistrust toward Ashabi, she insists she’s had enough of the public dragging. Her latest remarks signal a readiness to confront the issue head-on, rather than remain silent.
