Compete With No One” — Bolanle Ninalowo Speaks on Purpose-Driven Living

Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has said he has no interest in competing with or envying his colleagues, stressing that his focus remains on personal growth and self-improvement.
The actor made this known in a post shared on his Instagram page, where he described a purpose-driven life as the ultimate achievement. According to Ninalowo, his only competition is his past self, not anyone else in the industry.

“A purpose-driven life is such a flex,” he wrote. “I compete with no one, I envy no one, and I do not want what others want. My only goal is to outdo my past, and not you.”

The father of two has repeatedly used his social media platforms to share personal reflections and milestones. Last year, he celebrated a major social media achievement, revealing that he recorded an unprecedented level of engagement within 24 hours of joining a platform. He also described himself as a “star man,” proudly noting that he is blessed with a “star daughter” and a “star son.”

Ninalowo has also addressed issues surrounding impersonation on social media. He previously reacted to reports of an individual posing as him and allegedly defrauding a woman of ₦33 million, expressing shock and stating that he has never earned such an amount per movie in his acting career. In March, the actor further lamented the proliferation of fake TikTok accounts bearing his name, noting that he does not use the platform.

In other revelations, the actor recently disclosed that his biggest addiction is “counting his blessings,” describing himself as a child of grace. He also admitted that while some may perceive him as selfish, he sees himself differently, explaining that he learned to make himself a priority after realising he could not always expect to be one in the lives of others.
