“Contractions aren’t a joke” – Priscilla Ojo recounts son’s birth experience

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo and newly crowned mum, has shared her labour room experience following the arrival of her first child with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.

Taking to Snapchat, Priscilla revealed that she was rushed to the hospital at 3am when labour contractions began. She admitted that the pain was overwhelming, leaving her unable to carry out her earlier plans of looking stylish for the hospital and creating content.

“We had to rush to the hospital at 3am! Contractions aren’t a joke, all plans to slay at the hospital and create content were cancelled,” she wrote.

Priscilla also disclosed that her baby boy, Rakeem, arrived earlier than expected, choosing to have his own special day rather than share the same birthday with his father.

“Me: Rakeem, your due date is the same as Papa.
Rakeem: Please, this woman, I want my day alone.
@juma_jux sorry, my love, your son wants to shine alone,” she added humorously.

Fans will recall that on July 24, Priscilla and Juma announced in a joint Instagram post that they were expecting their first child, accompanied by photos from their maternity shoot. Days later, the couple shared clips from their gender reveal party in Tanzania, confirming they were expecting a baby boy.

On July 27, a baby shower was held in Canada, with Iyabo Ojo, actress Lola Alao, and close friends throwing the celebration for the mum-to-be.

Priscilla and Juma Jux had earlier sealed their union in a lavish six-part wedding ceremony across Tanzania and Nigeria between February and May this year.
