DISTRESS CALL: Akinyele Council Boss, Hon Akinwole Akinleye Rallies Security Agencies to Reassure Ojoo-Arulogun Road Residents of Security Agencies Alertness.* 

During his address to the residents of Kole, Hon Akinwole Akinleye emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining safety and security. He urged residents not to panic but to remain vigilant and proactive in their neighborhoods. The Executive Chairman highlighted the role of community vigilantes, encouraging locals to continue their efforts in signaling any potential threats to law enforcement agencies . “Your safety is our priority; we must work together to ensure a secure environment,” he stated.

The Ojoo DPO reassured the community that a patrol vehicle would consistently monitor Ojoo Arulogun Road, ready to respond swiftly to any incidents. The DPO emphasized that residents should feel empowered to report any suspicious activities, with the assurance that help would be on the way. This commitment to rapid response aims to alleviate fears and foster a sense of security among the residents.

In addition, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) of Akinyele Aouth LCDA, confirmed that their Agro Rangers are actively patrolling the area to address potential threats from herdsmen. With a promise of readiness to respond to any distress calls, the NSCDC underscored their commitment to ensuring the safety of the community. Amotekun echoed this sentiment, assuring residents that their station at Igbooloyin is always open for assistance and that the residents of the community should always play their own role by informing both the government and security agencies of suspected security threats to their communities. 

Addressing another concern raised by the community, Hon Akinwole Akinleye directed that all scrap dealers operating along the Ojoo-Igbooloyin road must vacate the area. Residents expressed that these dealers posed a security threat, and the Executive Chairman’s swift action demonstrates his commitment to creating a safer environment. 

The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government has always been proactive in addressing security issues as the the protection of lives and properties remain germane under his administration. The swift response of the Executive Chairman to the distress call from the people of Kole and its environs reaffirms the Executive Chairman’s determination to replicate the success of his principal, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde in Akinyele LG. As the community navigates these challenges, the collaboration between local government and security agencies remains crucial in fostering a secure and peaceful living environment for all.
