Divorce is not a sign of failure but a celebration of bravery and freedom” – Actor Uche Maduagwu calls for divorce parties and anniversaries

Popular Nollywood actor,  uche maduagwu admonished Nigerians to normalize the celebration of divorce.

Taking to his instagram page, Uche asserted that those who don’t celebrate their divorce are ungrateful to God for bringing them out of a toxic situation.

He pointed out that there are many people trapped in unhappy marriages and unable to find a way out, so if one is fortunate enough to leave a bad marriage, they should celebrate it.

Speaking further, he clarified the notion that divorce is a sign of failure, and stated that it is a celebration of bravery and freedom.

The controversial actor wrote,

“People who don’t celebrate their #Divorce Anniversaries are being ungrateful to God because so many people are still in Bad and unhappy #Marriages that they are unable to walk out of, so if you are lucky enough to walk out of a #Marriage that does not bring out the #BEST in you, please CELEBRATE, it takes a special GRACE from God to achieve that Freedom”

The thespian, who came out as gay a while ago, made this assertion in a recent post on his Instagram page.

He warned those who judge and mock his sexuality to desist from doing so, emphasizing that he is not the only bisexual male celebrity in Nigeria.

“Don’t judge me, you are not God. I dey follow woman and man, 95% of Nigerian male celebs dey do am, both married and single. I repeat 95% of Naija male celebs dey follow both woman and man. Truth is bitter but that is the beautiful reality.

“A male celeb was following others to laugh at me yesterday at an event in Ikoyi but e dey follow women and men too. So why all the double standards?” He wrote.
