EKITI NANTA  RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION FROM BUREAU OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

In a major boost to the fast-rising Ekiti tourism sector, a major player in the Travels and Tours industry, the National Association of NigerianTravel Agencies, NANTA,  Ekiti State Chapter today, received a certificate of registration from Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development

Making the presentation in his office, the DG Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre Esq in his brief remarks, welcomed the representatives of NANTA to his office while assuring them of government support and collaboration.

“I’m delighted to present this certificate of registration of your association as a bonafide and recognized travel agency association in Ekiti State. The certificate which has government approval allows you to perform your legitimate functions within the extant law of Ekiti State. This is to serve as a warning that any travel agency not registered with the state government and your association is not recognized and cannot operate in the state.

“You have made a bold move by reaching out to the Bureau of Tourism Development indicating your interest in establishing your trade-in Ekiti State and key into Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s lofty ideas about exploring the hugpotentialls in tourism.

“Your recognition by the state government is a challenge to you as an organization to play the game according to the rules because there are lots of fake travel agencies whose stock in trade is to scam unsuspecting clients with promises of overseas travels but failed to deliver. Many people had fallen victim to such organizations in the past” he said.

Sikiru Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ekiti State NANTA  while receiving the certificate of registration thanked the DG for providing the enabling environment to engage with their operations in Ekiti State noting that the primary objective of NANTA in Ekiti State is to sanitize the Travels and Tours industry to offer the best services to the good people of Ekiti state……
