Group partners Rotary Clubs to hold health campaign awereness

A non governmental organisation, the ‘Rotary Action Group for Family Health & AIDS Prevention (RFHA) in partnership with the Rotary Clubs and districts in Nigeria, has held a 3-day health awareness campaign.

The second edition of the free annual health awareness campaign tagged: “Rotary Family Health Days,” centred on health issues like Polio, Malaria, Hepatitis, HIV, diabetes, Hypertension, tuberculosis, among other health issues.

On these three days, which began on February 2 and ended on February 4, Rotary Clubs organised mounted booths and set up camps in various locations to test, screen and examine members of the public.

Meanwhile, list of Rotary Clubs that Participated in the second edition of RFHD include, RC Ibadan Akobo, RC Ibadan City Central, RC Agodi Ibadan, RC Ibadan West, RC Ibadan Jericho Metro, RC Ibadan Ologuneru, RC Ibadan RingRoad, RC Ibadan Felele, RC Ibadan Oluyole, RC Oluyole Estate, RC Ibadan ElebuMetro and RC Ibadan Challenge.

Collaborating agencies include, Planned Parenthood & Family planning, PPFN, and Oyo state HIV and TB Control Agency..

PPFN services included Cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening screening and Family planning especially for women at Alesinloye Market site in Ibadan.
