Group solicits maximum support for Adelabu to end nation’s power nightmare

A national based group of veteran unionists and conscious professionals, well known as, Congress of Progressive Patriots (COPP) has enjoined Nigerians across divides to throw their support behind the newly appointed Minister of Power, Mr. Abdulwaheed Adebayo Adelabu, stressing that his success holds the key to the economic-cum industrial and developmental aspiration of the Country.

The group made this plea via a press release made available to newsmen in Oyo town, Oyo State earlier today.

The press release jointly signed by Alh. Rasheed Adebisi; State Chairman, Hon. Segun Abioye; State Gen. Secretary, Comrade Joel Adeola; State Publicity Secretary, and endorsed by the National Director General, Hon. Yinka Idowu reads “We received the appointment of Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, a financial and boardroom guru, to man the all important ministry of Power, with enthusiasm, judging from the track record of the appointee who’s career has always been trailed with scintillating record of performance wherever he threads.

“This task which undoubtedly is a daunting one, judging from giants who had held the portfolio yet was unable to alleviate the nation’s electricity woes.

“We’re rest assured that Adelabu will bring his extensive network, financial wizardry, boardroom dexterity and political contact to bear in permanently solving the power woes, so we can kick-start our economic cum industrial and developmental aspirations.

“Thus, we enjoin industry stakeholders, political stakeholders and indeed all Nigerians to give him all necessary support towards actualising the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu renewed hope agenda for the power sector.

“In the same vein, we enjoin all sons and daughters of Oyo State, especially members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to bury their differences and rally round one of their own”
