Nigerian dancer, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, has expressed pride and excitement after her children watched the biopic of late pop icon, Michael Jackson.
The dancer attended the Nigerian premiere of the film Michael with her children, following its global debut on April 20, 2026. Sharing moments from the event, Kaffy described the experience as deeply fulfilling, noting that it was inspiring to see her children connect with Jackson’s music, dance, and enduring legacy.
“I feel so blessed to see my children experience MJ and know so much about his music and dance. It’s a testament to a legacy that shines across generations,” she said.
Kaffy, who shares two children with her ex-husband, Joseph Ameh, said the moment made her proud as a mother, highlighting the importance of passing down cultural and artistic influences.
The celebrated dancer has remained vocal about her personal journey in recent years, particularly following the end of her marriage in 2022. She has often spoken about self-growth and rediscovery, stating that the separation allowed both parties to evolve individually.
Despite their split, Kaffy and her ex-husband have maintained a cordial relationship, occasionally coming together for family events and co-parenting their children.
The premiere of Michael continues to draw attention globally, reflecting the lasting impact of the late singer’s influence on music and dance across generations
